Forget vacation, Staycations can be fun too!

I know with the economy, its hard. For us singles parents that means plans for vacation might get cancel and a staycation would be better. I had plenty of staycations and discover what I can do within my area. So here are my top 5 picks to do with my son over the summer. Go to the pool The pools in our area are actually free during the summer which is nice and something we enjoyed. Yet our favorite pool is in our old town which is a good 30 minute drive but we still will be going there also. Go to a ball game I actual enjoy going to the ball game and get excited when Jayden gets a little interested in it too. Since I sign him up for the kids club, he gets in for free. I love going on Buck Nights when admission is cheap and some of the concessions stands are a decent price too. Also Sunday afternoons are great for families to take their littles ones. Go on a day trip Living in West Virginia, there are plenty of parks, local restaurants, and outdoor activities to do. I can bet you w...

Summer Plans

Summer is just around the corner! Do you have plans for your children to do during summer break? As a mother we try to have the perfect summer plan for our children but let be honest. It’s never going to be perfect. You feel bad and think you are not like the other mothers out here on the internet who have every put together. You are the mother who hit the snooze one too many times and now you are running late. You have your children throw on whatever clothing that is clean and hand them a bit to eat while rushing to the car to drop them off at the baby sitters, daycare, summer camp. Life happens but the truth is… throw away those perfect summer plans. What our children want the most is quality time with there families and friends. You want them to have memories that they can look back on and retell year after year.      One of my most fondest memories is taking a little road trip and having a food fight in the van with my sibling. We had so much...
