Summer is here and the weather is getting hot and humid where I live. When it gets like this, I am usual more thirsty than hungry. I loved drinking tons of water, its my favorite drink after all. Of course I have other drinks which I reach for more often during the warmer months. Along with my drinks I have my all time favorite ups which I will share with you guys of course. Now I could spend tons of money on these drinks but I tried to save as much money as I can and make these drinks at home.
Favorite homemade summer drinks
- Iced Chia Tea - I use Tazo Chia tea concentrate and mix it with equal amount of almond milk and served over ice.
- Iced coffee - brew strong coffee over ice and add your favorite creamer and milk. Very simple.
- Cold brew coffee - I use the Dunkin’ Donuts cold brew and steep it over night and serve with my favorite creamer. Add ice and milk. ( cold brew has less acidic and a smoother taste)
- Lemonade - Countrytime Lemonade mix is the way to go and my son loves it! It wouldn’t be summertime without it.
- Water - I literally drink about a gallon a day. I enjoy it served cold and with ice. Can I be anymore American.
- Tropical fruit smoothie - On occasions I enjoy an nice and fruit drink which I also add some spinach to it also. Don’t tell my kid!
- Mio Energy Black Cherry - When I don’t get time to fix my coffee I will used this. It’s always in my purse for those late morning rushes and also for a middle of the day pick me up.
- Simple Modern Voyager - I can’t express my love of these cups. They literally keep my drink cold for 24 hours. I have one by my stand with water every night. Wake and sip nice cold water.
- Ello Tumblers - I had both the color changing plastic one which my son, nieces, and nephews enjoy using and the stainless steel ones which work just as well as the Simple Modern cups.
- Zak Tumbler for kids - We keep drinks in these for my son. I feel them up with his favorite drinks so he can grab and go while running to school, summer camp, or the babysitters.
- Starbucks Tumbler - I know this is for all my typical basic girls here. Who doesn’t own at least one of these adorable tumbler.
- Camelbak - I been a fan of them for years and they are my go to water cups. I am glad they made some stainless steel one know.
- Ello Cooper - These are very adorable and another water bottle that I use regularly. I like the fact that it just a button which pops open the lid and you can also lock the lid too.
